  • Contact Mechanics
  • Computational Mechanics (FEM, DEM, Meshless Method)
  • Generation of statistically representative micro- and meso-structures
  • Acoustics and vibrations

Projects:
– “Multiscale Penetration Mechanics of Projectiles through Granular Media using Neutrons and X-rays” funded by Defence Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) aiming at developing radiation based non-destructive imaging and crystal diffraction techniques to formulate and evaluate predictive modeling capabilities using coupled discrete and finite element methods for increased penetration into granular materials for gaining entry into WMD locations. In collaboration with EMI Fraunhofer Institute and University of Tennessee.
